Micro Scanner Motors Special Feature
Micro Scanner Motors Special Feature
Introduction
This special feature introduces the micro scanner motor currently under development by us.
This groundbreaking product is the result of years of accumulated precision machining technology and is expected to contribute significantly to the creation of innovative products across a variety of fields.
Types of Scanner Motors
We have long been offering polygon-type scanner motors. The micro scanner motor is a dramatically miniaturized version of this, achieving a minimal form factor. Other common types of scanner motors include galvanometers and MEMS scanners.

Using a 4-facet mirror, the scanning angle of the laser beam can reach up to 120°. When using a 3-facet mirror, the scanning angle expands even further, and by irradiating multiple facets simultaneously, full 360° coverage is possible. |
By configuring an ultra-compact unit that rotates a polygon mirror using a motor, these motors enable wide-angle laser scanning while maintaining a small footprint. |

Typically, the mechanical scanning range of galvanometers is ±20°, and even with optical compensation, the maximum is around 80°. As a result, compared to polygon scanners, galvanometers are limited in use within narrow scanning angles. |
These are scan devices with a single mirror manufactured using MEMS technology. They combine semiconductor technology with compact electromagnetic actuators, offering miniaturization benefits. However, their scanning angle is typically limited to 20°~40°. |
